Irina
Irina is a high yielding spring barley that is low in screenings with an excellent all round agronomy package. An easy care barley.
This emerging variety has been in our trials for over four years with consistent grain quality. Irina has very good disease resistance especially to mildew. Irina is a reliable feed barley and it is also fully registered as a malting barley in the UK and Europe.
KEY AGRONOMIC POINTS
High yielding, very stiff straw. Irina has performed well in many areas in New Zealand giving good quality results with large grain weight. KW 52 average over last 3 years, averaging 105% yields in the Carrfields trials over last three year trial period.
